"The Lost 45s with Barry Scott" began on  Emerson College radio. After graduation, the show was picked up by a commercial radio station and has received #1 ratings ever since. The program recently celebrated 25 years on the air at Oldies 103.3/WODS-FM in Boston-- including 6 years in national syndication. The Boston Herald calls it "The most successful weekend show in the history of Boston radio!"

"The Lost 45s" features Top 40 music from the late 60s, 70s and 80s which no longer receive adequate airplay. Scott's desire is to keep these songs and performers alive for years to come. Artists like The Partridge Family, Joe Simon, The Osmonds, Little River Band, The Monkees, Pablo Cruise, ABBA, Bill Withers, Rick Springfield, The Ohio Players, The Ohio Express and Donna Summer and hundreds of one hit wonders are featured.

"The Lost 45s" has been recognized by many major national publications, including Billboard, Radio and Records, Rolling Stone, Spin and the New York Daily News. Barry Scott has appeared on VH-1's "Behind The Music,"CNN, "Good Morning America", "Entertainment Tonight", and on the Howard Stern show. He is recognized nationally as one of the foremost authorities on pop music. His collection of over 250,000 CDs, singles and albums from the period is unequaled. Scott's library also contains over 500 artist interviews; 80 hours of TV and movie clips; 20 hours of news actualities; and over 12 hours of vintage TV ads.

Over the past 25 years, Barry Scott has interviewed over 500 "Lost" recording artists from the late 60s, 70s and 80s. Scott's first book, We Had Joy, We Had Fun became an international bestseller, currently in its 5th printing. In addition his CDs: "Barry Scott Presents 'The Lost 45s' of the 70s and 80s" Volumes One and Two have been huge successes.

Barry Scott has also raised over a million dollars to fight AIDS, including five Radiothons and a series of concerts starring artists like KC & The Sunshine Band, Captain & Tennille, The Cowsills, David Cassidy and the The Bay City Rollers.
